What does Mother’s Day mean to me? Well, I would have to say it is about all the women who have been mother figures to me throughout my life. I love to communicate on Mother’s Day with all of them.

It’s about the joy of motherhood that I have experienced with my son and the privilege of influencing his life positively. It is also about the time spent with family and friends and the relaxation from a lazy Sunday when you’re pampered endlessly.

My boys as I call them, my son and my husband began a tradition many years ago when I made the comment that although I love flowers I hate to watch them die. They have ever since, planted perennials in my yard on Mother’s Day so I can enjoy them much longer. We watch movies, and barbeque and even sometimes swim. This year may be one where we jump in the pool!
