Stuck in the Middle with You
What a nostalgic song for me. I grew up listening to great music by Jerry Riopelle, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel (pre-Christie Brinkley affect), Steppenwolf, Harry Chapin and Gerry Rafferty.
To this day, if my dad is out driving and the song comes on the radio he gives me a jingle and plays my favorite line in my ear… “Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right… Here I am Stuck in the Middle with YOU”
It always makes me smile. It must make a lot of people smile too because it’s already been voted Song of the Month
Stuck in the Middle with You
Composed by Joe Egan and Gerry Rafferty. The song was written and recorded in 1975 by Stealers Wheel. Many think the song was sung by Bob Dylan, but the lead vocals were performed by Gerry Rafferty.
